Hi I’m Ruth.

I live with my husband, Rick, and our Australian Shepherd, Lisa, in Central Illinois. Rick is a photographer and I am a Mixed Media, Intuitive, artist & educator.

My art has been described as abstract, whimsical, intuitive, colorful and bold. Meanwhile I find joy in creating with many different mediums, and helping others learn to create as well. I like adding a bit of texture to my pieces, since life is not 'smooth sailing', there are always bumps in the road. Life is textured, so why not art?

When asked what inspires me, I find my self answering “Colors”. I feel God gave us colors to use, and living in a “white world”, not using them, seems not only boring but unappreciative to The One who created color. When I use several colors, I feel happy. I think it makes God happy too.
